SMM reported on December 3: This week, end-use consumption in the lead-acid battery market was average. Coupled with the weakening lead prices, dealers showed low enthusiasm for pre-holiday stockpiling, with some adopting a cautious wait-and-see approach. Regarding battery selling prices, due to significant fluctuations in raw material lead prices, some battery producers had previously planned to raise battery prices. However, dealers exhibited low buying sentiment towards the price-increased batteries, prompting producers to consider further promotions. Meanwhile, leading brand companies intended to raise prices against the trend, with a few regions reporting a wholesale price increase of 10 yuan per unit for key models such as 48v12Ah and 48v20Ah electric bicycle batteries. On the producer side, lead prices showed a fluctuating downward trend, and downstream companies were cautious in their post-holiday purchases.
